The Company also collects web browsing history associated with customers’ personal information.

    The term “Personal Information” refers to information relating to a living individual that falls under any of the following (Act on the Protection of Personal Information, Article 2(1)):

(1)Information containing a name, date of birth, or other identifier or the equivalent (meaning all items excluding individual identification codes) made by writing, recording, sound or motion, or other means, in a document, drawing, or electronic or magnetic record (this includes a record created in electronic or magnetic form (meaning electronic form, magnetic form, or any other form that cannot be perceived with the human senses; the same applies in item (2) below)), which can be used to identify a specific individual (this includes any information that can be easily collated with other information and thereby used to identify that specific individual);
    2. (2)Information containing individual identification codes.
  3. 3. Purpose of Use of Personal Information

    Personal Information collected from customers is used for the following purposes:

    1. (1) To register customers, verify their identity, and provide, maintain, protect, and improve the Services.
    2. (2) To respond to inquiries and provide information related to the Services.
    3. (3) To develop new services and features.
    4. (4) To verify the identity of the customers and contact them when a violation of the Terms, Policies, or other related rules (collectively, the “Terms”) related to the Service is discovered, in order to take appropriate action.
    5. (5) To notify customers of changes to the Terms, system maintenance, or other important updates related to the Service.
    6. (6) To provide community features within the Service and to offer personalized experiences tailored to each customer.
    7. (7) To distribute newsletters and provide information about our other services, seminars, or schools.

    13. (13) To provide the information entered at the time of membership registration to domestic and overseas partners or affiliated companies of the Company.
    14. (14) To refer customers to prospective employers and recruitment agencies as part of the Company’s employment placement services.
    15. (15) To manage recruitment, human resources, and employment appropriately, including screening and post-hire administration.
    16. (16) To fulfill purposes incidental to the above-mentioned purposes.
  4. 4.Measures Taken for Security Control

    To ensure the accuracy and security of the Personal Information the Company handles, i implements necessary safety measures, including information security controls.

    To provide comprehensive services, including support for obtaining professional qualifications as well as information and assistance related to employment and career transitions, the Company engages in the joint use of Personal Information as outlined below.

  6. 6. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

    Personal Information in the Company’s custody will not be disclosed or provided to any third party without the customer’s consent, except in the cases specified below or where required by law. Unless otherwise stated, such information will be provided via encrypted web systems, email, or in written form.

    1. (1) To conduct scouting and recruitment activities by providing Personal Information to domestic and overseas companies or organizations with which the Company has contracts or partnerships, including headhunters and HR personnel.
    2. (2) When Personal Information is provided in connection with a business succession due to a merger or other reasons.
    3. (3) When it is necessary to verify the legitimacy or validity of a payment account with financial institutions in connection with payment processing.
    4. (4) When it is necessary to protect an individual’s life, body, or property.
    5. (5) When disclosure is required by laws or regulations.

    Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties in the Context of Reskilling Programs

    1. (1) Information to be Provided
      • In connection with the career advancement support program through reskilling, the following Personal Information may be collected: name, home address, contact information (telephone number and/or email address), age, gender, highest level of education, family structure, career change outcomes, employment status, job role or type, salary and working hours, qualifications held, skills possessed, results of reskilling course completion, content of the reskilling courses taken, total hours of course participation, number of interviews, date of support provided, location of workplace, size of employing organization, and reasons or motivations for changing jobs.
    2. (2) Purpose of Use The information obtained will be used for the following purposes:
      • To provide services and ensure the smooth operation of the career advancement support program through reskilling.
      • To report to and respond to surveys from relevant government ministries and agencies, the fund-establishing organization, and the program office in connection with the career advancement support program through reskilling.
    3. (3) Third-Party Recipients The collected Personal Information will be provided to the following parties for the purposes stated in section (2) above.

    ■Use of Personally Related Information as Personal Information

    The Company may match and link personally related information—received from the Japan Environmental Partnership Council and Nomura Research Institute, Ltd. and tagged with management codes—with Personal Information already held by the Company. This information will be used to respond to inquiries and surveys from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, the Japan Environmental Partnership Council, and Nomura Research Institute, Ltd.

  7. 7. Outsourcing of Personal Information Handling

    The Company may outsource the handling of Personal Information provided by the customers. In such cases, the Company selects contractors that meet sufficient standards for Personal Information protection based on its own criteria, and exercises necessary and appropriate supervision to ensure the secure management of the entrusted Personal Information.

  8. 8. Procedures for Disclosure, Correction, and Suspension of Use of Personal Information

    The customer may request notification of the purpose of use, disclosure, correction, deletion, suspension of use, or suspension of provision to third parties regarding the Personal Information they have provided.

  9. 9. About Cookies

    The Company uses cookies to deliver appropriate content to website customers, improve services through access analysis, and optimize website pages. It also utilizes various third-party services. In addition, the Company may place web advertisements on websites other than its own. In such cases, the use of cookies is subject to the policies of the websites where the advertisements are displayed. The customer may refuse to accept cookies or delete stored cookies by changing their browser settings or using the opt-out methods provided by third-party advertising services.

  10. 10. Cross-Border Transfers

    In connection with the USCPA courses, the Company may disclose or provide the Personal Information they have submitted to overseas entities (such as educational institutions, preparatory schools, and certification bodies) within the scope described below, for the purposes of course participation, qualification certification, and other exam-related procedures that require information sharing.
